Arts & Letters Staff Annual Awards
The Awards & Recognition Committee is committed to the celebration and recognition of all Arts & Letters employees. The committee has identified four distinct awards that will be given annually to a Notre Dame staff member within the College of Arts and Letters and one award for a Notre Dame staff member outside the College of Arts and Letters.
College of Arts and Letters Leadership in Excellence Award
Demonstrates energy and commitment to improving results, takes initiatives often involving calculated risks while considering the common good.
College of Arts and Letters Leadership in Mission Award
Understands, accepts, and supports the mission of the university and fosters values consistent with that mission.
College of Arts and Letters Collaboration Award
This award will recognize staff members who exemplify exceptional performance and service to the University community and cooperation, collaboration, and cohesion within the College. Formerly known as the "Inside" of the Inside/Outside award.
College of Arts and Letters Inclusion Award
Recognizes an employee who lives and models diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Their efforts and ideas push our college forward to ensure we have a diverse and inclusive workplace.
College of Arts and Letters Partnership Award
This award will be given to an outstanding colleague outside the College who has demonstrated exceptional service to the College. This award serves to recognize that while the College of Arts and Letters is a large and essential part of the University, its administration benefits greatly from the abilities of other units on campus. Formerly known as the "Outside" of the Inside/Outside award.

What if I am unsure what award to submit for?
If you are unsure of what award fits best, that is OK! Submit a nomination and the recognition committee will review and enter it in the appropriate category.
Who can nominate?
Anyone can submit an award nomination including staff, faculty, students, and visitors.
How are winners selected?
The recognition committee will review the nominations. If someone on the committee is nominated they sit out for the discussion on that award.
What do award winners receive?
The committee will meet in early May to determine the award winners based on a rubric. Each annual award winner will be announced at the Staff Spring Luncheon and receive a customized plaque and monetary reward.
