Inclusion and Belonging

Inclusion & Belonging Committee, College of Arts & Letters logo with interlocking blue and gold block design.

The A&L Inclusion & Belonging Committee was founded to ensure all members have opportunities to feel connected to our beloved community. We create moments to hold conversations about dignity and identity by providing educational and communal experiences across campus. We also assist in implementing organizational initiatives that maximize the development of our multifaceted workforce.

Our mission

Foster a spirit of belonging among employees at Notre Dame by cultivating spaces where all are able to discuss personal identity topics, issues, and successes in a supportive environment through events, advocacy, and mentorship.

We strive to:

  • Create a connected community that celebrates our collective strengths
  • Coordinate educational and social events that highlight the multifaceted aspects of our beloved community
  • Advocate for administrative policies addressing Inclusion and Belonging
  • Cultivate an environment where participants can propose questions about identity and belonging in a respectful manner
  • Facilitate a mentor program that connects new and existing employees with similarly minded communities (to be launched in Fall 2025)

Can I become a member?

Yes! Any Notre Dame employee is welcome to join.
