    Associate Director of Faculty Administration

    kmitros@nd.edu
    P: +1 574-631-5234

Kellye brings with her a variety of higher education administration experience, office management, and a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder management. Most recently, Kellye served as the Associate Director for Operations in the Technology Ethics Center (ND TEC) for the last three years. Kellye was instrumental in building the center and bringing the vision of ND TEC to life. Previously, she worked in the Law School supporting faculty and staff, including those serving on the committee for appointments and promotions.

Kellye has a strong background in navigating University systems, building effective relationships, and creating new processes to gain efficiencies. She has experience in administering the appointment, hiring, and promotion processes for faculty, postdocs, and staff at Notre Dame. We are excited for her experience and leadership as we focus on enhancing the faculty experience starting from one of the first interactions a new faculty member has with the college (an offer letter) to the off-boarding experience. This position will manage, motivate, and develop the senior administrative staff team of 3 in the Dean’s office who directly support the college divisions. We look to Kellye's leadership as we create and implement the administration, training, and communication for the entire college as it relates to faculty hiring and reappointments. She will serve as a key liaison to the Provost’s Office and coordinate the college data regarding faculty searches.

Kim has been working as Staff Assistant for the Office of Communications since 2016. A year ago she physically moved over to the Dean’s Office as Office Coordinator at the front desk and carried her Communications responsibilities with her. She is happy to help the staff in areas such as updating the online events calendar, paying bills, ordering supplies, tracking print material/swag inventory, scheduling meetings, planning event logistics, and many other administrative duties.

Kim grew up in the area and is a graduate of Indiana University at South Bend. She enjoys walking and biking outside, no matter the time of year. She looks forward to a bit more travel with her husband as both of their kids, while not quite out of the house yet, are officially out of school.
