Faculty and their families are invited to an evening of stargazing at the ND campus observatory on the rooftop of Jordan Hall of Science. This will include viewing through the Krizmanich Telescope, one of the largest in Indiana, and will be guided by graduate students and faculty from the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
As this event is weather dependent (***we need a clear night to see the stars***) we cannot know which night will be good to stargaze until a few days before (or perhaps the day of) the event. Therefore, we have set aside the week of Monday, November 13 to Friday, November 17, and the first clear night of that week will be our night to stargaze through the telescopes. We hope to have better luck than the last time.
If you are interested, please sign up on the form below. As we get closer to the time, we will notify you which night of the week of November 13-17 we will be hosting the event.
Faculty individually or with their families are welcome. There is no age limit for children.
For questions please contact Fr. Frank Murphy, Faculty Chaplain at email@example.com or 574-631-5242.
Hosted by the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Faculty Chaplaincy.
