Saturday, November 4th at Cultivate Food Rescue (1403 Prairie Avenue, South Bend, IN 46613)
Individual faculty and faculty families are welcome to participate (children 6 years and up are welcome to help), There are two time slots available: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Each time slot has limited space.
Cultivate Food Rescue collects and uses prepared food as well as donated ingredients that would otherwise be thrown away to create nutritious meals for students who face food insecurity, especially on the weekends when they can't be assisted through school breakfast and lunch programs.
As a meal processing volunteer, you will be able to work with fellow ND faculty members and families to help produce several hundred meals that will be frozen to provide nourishment for these students and other food-insecure community members.
