Brief Service on Ash Wednesday in the Great Hall of O'Shaughnessy

-

Location: Great Hall of O'Shaughnessy

February 14 may be Valentine’s Day. but more importantly, it is also Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

In addition to Catholic Masses celebrated in many places and departments around campus on that day, we will also offer multiple opportunities for Catholics and Christians of all denominations to participate in a brief (10 minutes or less) service to mark the beginning of Lent and to receive ashes. The College of Arts & Letters will host one of the short services in the Great Hall of O'Shaughnessy at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 14.

Everyone is welcome to come to a place near you. Evening staff may attend the 7PM or 9 PM Mass at the Basilica or come to Malloy Hall Chapel at 10:15PM for the short service.
