Interdisciplinary Research Symposium

Author: Lakshimi Swaminathan

We are pleased to share that the College of Arts & Letters, under the leadership of Dean Ken Scheve, is providing both financial and general support for the Notre Dame Interdisciplinary Graduate Research Symposium, hosted by the Graduate Student Government.

The symposium will take place on March 19–20, 2026, in the Dahnke Ballroom and will bring together graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, and undergraduates from across the Colleges of Arts & Letters, Engineering, Science, and the Keough School of Global Affairs. The two-day event will feature graduate student oral presentations, poster sessions, a faculty panel on interdisciplinary research, and opportunities for networking with campus partners and industry representatives.

Support from the College of Arts & Letters plays a vital role in strengthening Notre Dame’s interdisciplinary research culture and in amplifying graduate scholarship across the humanities, social sciences, and beyond. We are grateful for the College’s commitment to fostering collaboration, intellectual exchange, and professional development among emerging scholars.

The Graduate Student Government warmly invites members of the University community to attend the symposium and engage with the wide range of interdisciplinary research represented.

Additional details about the program and schedule will be shared closer to the event.
