Nominate Your Student Employee!
National Student Employment Appreciation Week is April 13 - 17, 2026.
Every year, the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) declares the second full week in April to be National Student Employment Week. It was established to increase public awareness and to recognize students who work while attending college. NSEA has a contest each year with small monetary awards for outstanding student employees. Now is your chance to recognize your student employees for their outstanding contributions while working at Notre Dame!
Interested in nominating your student employee? Undergraduate students can be recognized in five different categories.
- Community Service
- Social Impact and Belonging
- Leadership
- Technology & Innovation
- Critical Thinking
Students can be nominated for more than one category; however, each nomination requires a separate application. Each winner will receive $300, each runner up will receive $100, and the overall NSEA Student Employee of the year will receive an additional $300.
- This competition is open to both hourly and stipend student employees.
- Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Notre Dame.
Process
- Due by 2/2/26 – Submit your nominees by completing this form.
- Week of 2/9/26 – A committee consisting of individuals who do not have any student employees this year, will review the submissions and select the best to represent the University of Notre Dame.
- 2/13/26 – Student Employment submits our nominees to NSEA.
- 3/6/26 – NSEA selects the winners and notifies institutions.
It is with gratitude and joy that we recognize our amazing student employees for their achievements in their student employment positions and support in the Notre Dame community.
