Liturgy of Loss and Remembrance

Author: Sr. Andrea Lee

If you experienced significant loss during the last year – or are a colleague supporting someone who has experienced:

  • the death of a loved one or close friend;
  • a diagnosis of life-altering illness;
  • a profound change in an important relationship;
  • a sense of grief, fear, abandonment, or loss of any type – tangible or spiritual,

Then your experience of loss is significant. We invite you to a quiet liturgy of remembrance and comfort on June 4 at 11:30 AM at the Dillon Hall Chapel.

Fr. Michael Mathews, C.S.C., and Fr. Tim O’Connor, C.S.C. will co-celebrate at a simple Catholic liturgy. People of all faiths and no faith are welcome and encouraged to attend. We want to include everyone in a meaningful and healing time of prayer in our community of support and healing. Lunch will follow at 12:15 PM, so registration is requested by May 30.
