Zoom has become a big part of how we connect and collaborate on campus, and recently we’ve seen more people trying out AI-powered meeting assistants like Read.AI, Otter.AI, Fathom, Firefly, and similar third-party tools.
We want to remind our community that these third-party AI services are not approved for use at Notre Dame due to concerns about how they collect, store, and use meeting data.
The good news: you don’t have to give up the convenience of AI. Zoom’s built-in AI Companion is available to everyone at Notre Dame. It can generate transcriptions, meeting summaries, create action items, and more - while keeping your data safe and secure.
