Much Ado About Nothing

Shakespeare at Notre Dame is pleased to announce the Fall 2026 residency of Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS) here on the campus of Notre Dame. AFTLS will be presenting in-class workshops and a production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing during the week of September 7-11, 2026.

Many of you are no doubt familiar with AFTLS in production, but did you know that these talented actors have also presented workshops in classes as varied as Law, Business, Theology, English, Psychology, Philosophy, Accounting, and Theatre. Faculty members at universities across the nation have raved about this ensemble¹s unique ability to connect with their students, while helping them to further develop their presentation skills in an incredibly engaging way. Many previous participants have listed their experience with AFTLS as one of the highlights of their academic year!

Demand for these workshops at Notre Dame has always been high, so please submit the class visit request form by August 21. It is first come first serve so reserve your spot asap. The AFTLS office will confirm your class has been accepted. Workshops will be available September 7-11: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of the residency week . Due to the rehearsal and performance schedule of the actors it is vital that workshops not begin earlier than 8:30am (and conclude no later than 4pm on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.

Faculty who would like to schedule a classroom visit must also attend a brief zoom meeting with the actors on Thursday September 3. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to chat with the actor assigned to your class and give them insight into what you would like to accomplish during their visit.

Shakespeare at Notre Dame is offering these workshops to all Notre Dame departments at no charge.

If you (or your department) would be interested in scheduling a workshop with an AFTLS ensemble member, please submit your class visit request by August 21.
