AC/DC Concert Vehicle Access and Checkpoint Information

Author: Keith Kopinski

The AC/DC concert will be held in Notre Dame Stadium on Friday, September 4, 2026. Because the concert is taking place on a Friday when classes and normal University business will be occurring, vehicle access and deliveries may be impacted throughout the day. Please review the information below and plan accordingly.

AC/DC Vehicle Checkpoint Request Form

  • Vehicle access for this event will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Vehicles must exit restricted areas by 2:30 p.m.
  • Requests should be limited to those with a legitimate operational need to access restricted areas.
  • Requests must be submitted no later than September 2 by 2:00 p.m. so the list can be finalized.
  • If your vehicle will not be passing through one of the established Stadium checkpoints, it does not need to be included on the list. Please refer to the access map.

The vehicle checkpoints will be operational beginning at 7:00 a.m. and will remain in place until approximately one hour after the conclusion of the concert. Please plan travel, deliveries, and other campus activities accordingly.

Established Access Procedures

The following access procedures remain in effect:

  • Moose Krause South Access
    • Moose Krause South is restricted to emergency vehicles only.
    • Deliveries must enter through either the Joyce Gate 4 Checkpoint or the Duncan Tunnel Checkpoint during designated delivery windows.
  • St. Joseph Drive Checkpoint near Siegfried Hall
    • May be used for deliveries to LaFortune only.
    • No Stadium access will be permitted from this location.
    • Vehicles must be pre-approved and listed on the Vehicle Checkpoint List.
    • Contractors and vendors, including FedEx, UPS, and others, require advance authorization if they need access beyond the established checkpoint restrictions.

Additional Guidance

  • If your department or facility requires checkpoint access on the day of the concert, please complete the Vehicle Checkpoint Request Form to ensure proper authorization.
  • Access will be prioritized based on operational necessity rather than convenience.
  • Departments should plan routine deliveries, pickups, and other non-essential vehicle activity outside of the event security period whenever possible.
  • For concert-related deliveries or setup needs, please schedule them prior to the event. Coordination can be arranged with Silvio Mendez, Director of Stadium Operations, at 1-3185.
  • Please allow additional time for travel on campus, as normal Friday activity will continue while event preparations and security operations are taking place.
