Summer Beloved Community Gathering: JOY

-

Location: DPAC Terrace (Rain location: DPAC lobby)

A vibrant outdoor scene in front of a large Gothic-style university building, featuring a live band performing to the left and a crowd of people scattered across the courtyard and sidewalks. An ice cream cart with a red, white, and blue umbrella stands on the right, serving ice cream to smiling individuals. People of various ages are seated on benches and ledges or standing in groups, eating ice cream, chatting, and enjoying the sunny day amid trees and a well-kept lawn.

An Invitation to Refresh, Reconnect, and Rejoice

Join colleagues from across campus for the summer Beloved Community Gathering: JOY, a celebration of connection, community, and lighthearted fun.

The gathering, open to all faculty and staff, will take place from 3:30 to 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 24th, on the DPAC Terrace (rain location: DPAC Lobby). Attendees will enjoy free ice cream catered from Vanilla Bean Creamery, live music by James Riley Band, and a relaxed atmosphere to socialize and unwind.

This event invites us to delight in the everyday moments that foster belonging—laughter over a cone of your favorite flavor, conversation accompanied by a summer melody, and spontaneous connections with familiar and new faces alike.

Hosted by the Office of Institutional Transformation in partnership with NDHR, Beloved Community Gatherings aim to build bridges, cultivate inclusion, and celebrate the richness of our Notre Dame community. Each event offers a space for reflection, relationship, and renewal.

We look forward to celebrating with you—come as you are and bring your JOY.

Registration is not required, but it is encouraged. Let us know if you will be bringing your JOY here.
