The Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization." The program funds research in a wide range of disciplines, including work in the humanities and social sciences. Assistant professors in the College of Arts and Letters will have the opportunity to attend either or both of two upcoming workshops on this prestigious program offered through NSF.
The Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts (ISLA) will host a virtual, informal discussion on Friday, January 24 (12:00 - 12:45 pm), for assistant professors in the humanities and social sciences. This early conversation will begin with some basic information on the goals of NSF CAREER, the types of research the program funds, and why it might be a good fit for your research agenda. A Q&A session will follow.
